Alexis Ryan to Binge
The Binge is thrilled to announce the special guest appearance of first time Binger, Alexis Ryan, at the 2019 edition. Alexis will get her first taste of a proper postseason Binge after another lightening bright season with the Canyon/SRAM Racing Women’s team that saw her repeatedly in the top 5 at some of the world’s most brutal races including Omloop Het Nieuwsblad and Drentse Acht van Westerveld, as well as being part of a big team time trial win and the Giro d’Italia Internazionale Femminile.
If you are already thinking where on the Binge route is best place to put the hurt on Alexis, keep searching and dreaming! Not to be confused with some one-trick roadie ponies, Alexis has won so many national titles across the disciplines of cyclo-cross, mountain bike and road that even she has a difficult time recalling the total tally on her USA titles in the Junior and U23 levels. After riding circles around most everyone at the Binge, Alexis will turn turn here attention to Tokyo 2020 where she is a promising Team USA hopeful.
When asked if she plans to be in peak form for the Binge, Alexis says,
I definitely won’t be peaking for the Binge, at least not from a fitness standpoint, but maybe with “off-season form”.
I spent a lot of time in Asheville during my UHC days. I’m looking forward to returning to some familiar roads and exploring new ones during the Binge. I’m an avid hiker, eater, and beer drinker as well. I’ll be seeking out trails, restaurants, and breweries in between bike rides! — Alexis Ryan
An avid beer drinker, eh? Welcome to the Binge, Alexis!
