George Hincapie, one of the most recognized cyclists in the world, will be riding in the 2015 Binge. Hincapie started the Tour de France a record 17 times. He is a 3 time US Pro National Road Race champion, represented the USA in 5 Olympic games, and finished second at the grueling Paris-Roubaix, the best ever for any American. Hincapie raced as a professional cyclist for 19 years; his last three years were spent on BMC racing with Brent. He now lives in Greenville, SC with his wife Melanie and three children.
Christian Vande Velde also lives Greenville, and is a long time veteran of the sport. He retired in 2013 after 14 years of pro racing on the US Postal, Liberty Seguros, Team CSC and Garmin-Sharp squads. He has won stages in the Volta Catalunya, Circuit de Sarthe, Paris-Nice, won the GC in Tour de Luxembourg, and has been on winning team time trials in the Tour of Missouri, Tour de Georgia, Tour of Utah, and the Giro d’Italia and Tour de France. He also finished 4th overall in the 2008 Tour de France. Cycling runs in his family; his father is a two time Olympian.
