Over $30,750 Given Back – That’s Why We Roll
The Bookwalter Binge is a non-profit organization that has a mission of giving back to the community that supports the event.
The funds raised by The Binge are deployed to protect the environment through land conservation, a cause that runs deep with Brent and Jamie Bookwalter. The Binge also gives back to the community with donations to the public safety agencies that embrace the event.
Our cornerstone non-profit partner is Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, and organization that conserves unique plant and animal habitat, clean water, farmland, scenic beauty, and places for people to enjoy outdoor recreation in the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina.
Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy organizes and operates the Binge Raffle at the Binge Bash.
Every year, Binge sponsors and participants contribute items for the Binge Raffle. SAHC volunteers, often dressed in Halloween costumes, sell tickets to Binge Bash party attendees. All proceeds of the raffle go to support SAHC conservation efforts.
The Bookwalter Binge also makes charitable contributions to other local non-profit organizations including:
The Bookwalter Binge Gran Fondo has raised over $30,750 for charity.
We’re proud of the way our Asheville neighbors have embraced this event, with more than 100 volunteers and more than 20 government agencies in 3 different counties working together to make this event safe and fun. In fact, our volunteers and public safety partners now share stewardship of the event with Brent and Jamie and the entire community proudly hosts this very special week and that’s why it’s important for us to give back!
